Two members of the collective Hi-Vis Witches will share the space for 3 weeks to develop a new participatory performance based around themes of building and magick. Soil and clay are prominent materials in our practice and we will further explore their symbolism in both construction, magic and the churning cycles of death and rebirth. As is our modus operandi, we will begin by performing a site-survey, collecting practical and esoteric information from the grounds of Milford House. Under the working title W.O.R.M (wielders of ritual magic) we will excavate and investigate. Secondly we will conduct research and development, drawing on ideas from texts such as ‘Listen to the Land Speak’, Manchán Magan, and ‘City of Flows’, Maria Kaika, as well as the use of soil and mud in both ancient building practices and sympathetic magick rituals. Thirdly we will finalise our plans for a site specific participatory public event centred around Milford House.
