Ceara Conway attended the In-Between residency from 18th-22nd March 2026.
Ceara Conway is an independent Irish artist whose interdisciplinary practice places song and vocal expression at its centre. Working across vocal composition, visual media (photography/film), and traditional and contemporary song, her research‑led, self‑reflexive work explores how we are shaped by language, our relationship to the environment and to each other, and how these forces shape our ways of living, relating, and imagining the world.
Ceara has presented and performed work widely in Ireland and internationally, including the Museum of Fine Art (Florida), STABLE Gallery (Washington), the Katzen Arts Centre (Washington), the Barbican (UK), the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum (UK), the Galway Arts Centre, and the National Gallery of Ireland. Recent Annie Award nominee for Best Music for Éiru ( Cartoon Saloon).
