I am fascinated by the relationship between trauma/release, artistry and self expression by way of attuning to the body and voice, where ancient wisdom and somatic memory reside. In a world where we are encouraged and rewarded to operate from the mind, utilising and relating to the relationship between body, mind, soul and spirit can liberate us from systems designed to keep us small, distracted and afraid. Moreover, when we release trauma, not by way of fixing, but by way of expressing and allowing suppressed, trapped energy to take up space from an uninhibited authentic disposition – we unlock a beautiful revelation which can affirm and celebrate our original and unique wholeness. In my opinion, trauma, shame, guilt, and unworthiness are at the root of many of the difficulties we face on our planet today. Including but not limited to: ecocide, genocide, supremacy, colonialism, patriarchy and capitalism. When we release trauma and that which is suppressed and squandered, albeit gradually, we become free. Once we are free, we serve others so that what was once oppressed, can live and be. It heals us, our ancestral lineage and the planet. Somatic movement: A dancing, moving meditation. Though one does not have to be a dancer, though if you are, that’s great too – it is embodied unravelling and unwinding: stories, energy and all that is not ours, systematic beliefs and conditioning – in service to Truth. We enter a journey, receive guidance and information, embraced by acceptance of all that we are. Light and Dark. Holistic voice : A journey of one note. Everything is energy and frequency. The most healing sound is the sound of our own voice. Just like a singing bowl, tuning fork or a gong, sound healing derived from self can attune us to the frequency and origin of our wholeness by way of transmutation. One note can reveal all. Which creatures are waiting to embody and emerge through the voice, body and expression?
