As the year draws to a close, its a good time to review all the artists supported via the grass residency call out. The grass residency asked artists to look at this green carpet that is so emblamatic in the Irish sense of self and also as how Ireland is seen internationally as a land of vibrant green. Artists responded in so many ways, from the work of Mark Leahy looking at industrial farming practices and creating a performative interogation of a line up of silage bales; to Alkmini Gkousiari & Isobel O’Donavon becoming snail or Edy Fung composing a new sound work inspired by research here at LAI
