Lauren Kelly

I am an Irish neurodiverse visual artist specialising in socially engaged performance art, often extending into photography and film. My creative focus centres on body politics and activism, utilising performance art to express political ideas, especially concerning marginalised bodies. My work explores intersectional feminism, mental health, and the influence of power structures on our bodies’ governance and autonomy. Drawing from historical, political, and personal perspectives enriches the foundation of my artistic work. Collaboration with researchers, archivists, and activists plays a vital role in my practice.
