O Pen B

O. Pen Be is a UK live artist and movement therapist. Her work as a somatic practitioner and artist is situated on edges. Her embodied, interactive performances challenge the hierarchical certainty of truth as objectified rather than as lived experience, and explores somatic and relational effects of injustices: social and environmental. O.Pen Be’s serious playfulness arises from lived experience of the precarity of mental and physical health, and awareness of the fragility of aging skin, bone, muscles. Video is her chosen medium for capturing tensile in-between spaces. She has worked solo and in collaboration with live art gang FBI+A, international live eco-art events Becoming Tree, OpenOnlineTheatre, and Gracegracegrace .
