ACCESS SUPPORT WORKER – FURTHER JOB DETAIL DEADLINE 5pm 15th of January Live Art Ireland is looking for a flexible part-time Access Support Worker to assist with Deej Fabyc’s needs as a neurodivergent artist and CEO of Live Art Ireland. Deej Fabyc is a world-renowned Live Artist known for their diverse artistic practice encompassing performance, installation, photography, and video. Their work deeply explores the psychological dimensions of personal and political trauma, while their current performances focus on narratives of awkwardness, neurodiversity, aging, mental health, and chronic illness through embodied mapping. Applications from candidates who are from underrepresented ethnicities or backgrounds are particularly encouraged, as Live Art Ireland has at its core mission to recognize the underrepresented. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Creating social media content & strategy Maintaining and updating LAI website Upholding and advocating for the values and needs of the artist and fostering a supportive working environment Communicating clearly and accurately with the artist regarding timelines, workload, visits, deadlines, and any issues that arise Proofreading text/documents/emails, etc. Scribing and note-taking Making sure collaborators, etc. have and understand the artist’s access rider Body doubling (being present to help Deej’s concentration) Reading aloud to assist auditory processing Booking travel and accommodation Maintaining a diary of projects, meetings, trips, and events with other team members Managing project files for each production and physical storage Providing support to other non-neurotypical artists who visit LAI for workshops and residencies linked to Convergence Festival 2025 ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Experience of social media creation and strategy Some graphic design skills, and confidence using or learning different software Some experience of, or willingness to learn about, arts application writing, residencies, awards etc. Excellent at time management and scheduling Exceptional organisation and communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent attention to detail Focused and proactive Good problem solver Friendly, flexible and reliable DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES: Ideally experienced working with neurodiversity An interest in performance and creative industry is desirable but not essential FURTHER JOB DETAILS: Job type – Part-Time Rate – €20 / hour – assuming 7 hours per week.
