Amanda Gatti (1996, Brazil) is an artist and researcher working primarily with performance, photography, video, and installation. She holds a Master’s degree in Performance and Visual Culture from Reina Sofía Museum/UCLM (Spain, 2023), and a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Production from PUCRS’s School of Communication, Arts, and Design (Brazil, 2018), with an exchange program in Art History at UJA (Spain, 2017).
Her work has been presented in exhibitions and festivals, in various cities across Brazil, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Including: CRUCE (2025), CentroCentro (2024), Antonio Pérez Foundation (2023), Reina Sofía Museum (2023), DT Scenic Area (2023), Art Gene, Cumbria/UK (2022), Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana, Porto Alegre/Brazil (2022), Astro, Berlin (2022), Forum Social Mundial, Porto Alegre/Brazil (2016), among others.
Amanda has received funding and scholarships from institutions such as the Brazilian National Arts Foundation, the Secretary of Culture RS-Brazil, Santander Universities, the Iberescena Program, and SESC. In 2021, she was awarded Second Prize at the Mov.Cidade Festival.
In addition to her artistic production, Amanda extends her practice by facilitating actions and workshops that foster the creation of critical and experimental spaces through a collaborative approach. She also collaborates with her partner, Pedro Mendes in their itinerant project PÁR, a platform for critical and experimental practices across cinema and contemporary art. Since 2024 she has curated and managed the film club “Cine-Ciudad,” in addition to working as a coordinator-producer at MAYRIT BIENAL – an event that merge design, architecture, and contemporary art through a series of displays across the city of Madrid.
